DIAPERS
You provide the diapers and Ms.Liz changes diapers every 1-2 hours (unless dry *add one hour) and of course quicker as needed which can be often. I am diligent with changing them often for cleanliness while also not wasting them often causing you to buy more than necessary. I am always thinking of parent, child, financial, health, and environmental needs.
FOOD
All meals are made by Ms.Liz and are organic, tasty and fresh. The cost is already included in your tuition’s flat rate, so no extra fees.
Ms.Liz finds that for ages 0-2 it is best to leave out added sugars and too much added salts as well as most juices as it can lead to poor health, poor appetite, poor food decision making, tooth decay, pre-dipsosed to diabetes and more. Many times what some parents will label as “selective” eaters will arise from households that often offer processed foods too often, in place of routined mealtimes. Being firm in when mealtimes are and what is being served allows your child to know what to expect and to be given a chance to form likings to new foods. Also, keeping on pace with baby led weaning at the appropriate ages is highly important as each stage builds on the latter, first ~6-8 months with purées and larger solids to gnaw on, followed by 9-12 month experiencing with little bites and broken up solids, onto 12+ months eating full on meals and transitioning from the bottle by ~12-14 months onto milk from a sippy and cup.
Ms.Liz maintains a strong focus on organic, whole, fresh, nutritious foods that ensure your child is healthy, nourished and builds a strong relationship with food and portions that help them succeed.

TEACHING STYLE
*Strong focus on building resilience and a toolbelt full of skills necessary for TK and beyond. The more tools your child has, the more confidence they will have navigating school and social settings in the years ahead. When your child leaves The Discovery Hut, they will continue on to be a leader wherever they go.
*I am a huge advocate for parent/teacher trust and reliance. Ms.Liz is a trained professional who has a great sense of urgency and attention to detail. She believes communication and trust go a long way. She is a pillar you can count on but also expects the same accountability in return. For first time parents she is a great source to bounce ideas off of and a friendly guide for how to help in your child’s growth, helping them keep up with peers and age appropriate milestones, like tummy time, eating, drinking, using utensils, sign language and more.
*I’m fun and forward thinker, so there will be lots of dance party moments throughout the day, singing, jamming, remote control car club for babies and toddlers (IKR), sticker journaling, getting fresh air and sun, and more… It’s vibe and childhood/parenting experience you will want to be a part of and be longing for once graduated without a doubt.
